Encouraging Emerging Models Parish Survey Completion

In February 2010, the Emerging Models of Pastoral Leadership Project launched a nationwide, comprehensive survey of Catholic parish ministry and organization.  NOCERCC has supported the project since it began in 2003.

Mailed to 3,500 randomly selected U.S. parishes, the survey is the most comprehensive investigation of its kind in 30 years and will offer a much-needed snapshot of the new forms and structures for ministry that are growing from the ground up.

The survey deadline has been indefinitely extended, so if your parish received the survey, the project’s leaders would be very grateful if you could do whatever you can to support getting the survey completed and submitted.
The survey is available electronically as well.

The results of the survey will offer all those working in or concerned about parish ministry invaluable insights.  Every survey-receiving community’s participation will make a difference.  And the project is eager to have surveys returned.

If you have any questions, contact Trish Sullivan Vanni, Project Director of The Emerging Models of Pastoral Leadership project at tvanni@nalm.org.  Thank you!

NOCERCC's Cultivating Unity program in National Catholic Reporter

Tom Gallagher describes the need for strong relationships between bishops and priests in a May 6, 2009 article titled "Mission Management: Improving the bishop-priest relationship."  This article expresses the same concerns addressed through NOCERCC's Cultivating Unity program.
